I am a luddite with absolutely ZERO tech knowledge trying to reinstall my Deco S4 mesh system to the Virgin Hub 4 so my son can play games upstairs. I managed to connect it in my old house but then Virgin delivered a new Hub plus we moved. Now I have no idea how I did it before. Can someone bear to walk me through it as if they’re talking to someone with learning difficulties? For starters, how do I know how to switch the Hub off modem mode or to disable the back-up battery (if there is one) as the Deco instructions demand...? I’ve literally fallen at the first hurdle 😶
Put the hub into modem mode. Allow it 5 minutes then power it off.
Connect the first deco node to the hub.
Power the hub on and wait 5 minutes.
Power on the deco and wait 5 minutes.

As Gary says - but make sure the first Deco is set to be in "DHCP&Nat mode" it will be in the settings somewhere - app or instructions should help do that - it "may" be preset that way anyway
