Hub 3 red light

My Hub 3 has a permanent red light, suggesting that it is overheating. Hub is not obstructed. Tried resetting and tried leaving hub off for sometime but when powered back up red light still stays on. 

Watching videos online results in low quality imaging, or even the video dropping.

Would someone be able to help and advise?

Are you using the hub on its own or do you have your own router attached?

No router, just hub. The hub is linked to the TV and the virgin tv box.

Hi Hooandparker, 

Thanks for your post and welcome to our community. 

Really sorry for the issues you've been having and for the delay in getting back in touch, we have been busier than lately. 

 

Are you still having issues since you posted? 

If so please can you make sure all the hub is in the up right position and in an open space so it's not getting too hot. 

Also make sure your devices aren't too close to the hub and let us know how things are going.

Yes, have done all that. Rebooted, switched off overnight and still red. Am also noticing that my internet connection is also poor. Watching iplayer, prime and Disney+, videos are viewed low res or even just drops or has the twirly symbol! (Apologies for lack of tech vocabulary).

Any other suggestions?

Just to confirm is the light on the hub still red?

I've had a look at the back end of things and I can see that the hub has been up some time, can you reboot this for me now?

Just got  home and rebooting.  Yes it is still red.
