Hub 3 red light permanently on

Like other users, my Hub 3 is sat where it has always been with plenty of ventilation, but the red light is on all the time even after re-booting.  Does it need replacing and if so how can that be arranged?  Thanks

Re: Hub 3 red light permanently on

It may be an engineer visit or VM may send out a new hub. Even though you are getting a false positive with the red light it is advisable to get the hub replaced ASAP

Re: Hub 3 red light permanently on

If it isn't in Modem mode - then it indicates overheating! - I'd call it in on 150

But VM Staff should be along shortly to advise!

If it is hot to the touch, I'd unplug it - if not - don't leave it on overnight!

Re: Hub 3 red light permanently on

Thanks all.  Usual temperature in my opinion and have never run it in modem setting (wouldn't know how!).  There are more occasions of the wifi dropping out in last few months.

Re: Hub 3 red light permanently on

Hi scrip,

Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the Community Forum! I'm sorry that you're having some problems with your Hub 3.

Could you please confirm if you have tried to perform a pinhole reset on your Hub since this issue started?

Kind regards,

Laurie

Re: Hub 3 red light permanently on

Thanks for confirming this scrip.

Sounds like a new Hub is needed! I'll just need to confirm some details with you via Private Message. Can you please keep an eye out for a purple envelope in the top right corner of your page?

Kind regards,

Laurie
