Hub 3 red light (overheating warning)

TrueRomance

Hi, I have a hub 3 with a permeant red light, after reading the other posts on this is was recommended to start a new thread. The red light appear about a week back, hub is still working as normal. Have gone through all the resetting procedures with the same result. Little concerned if this warning is related to over heating?

Thanks.

Tried long power down and still the same?

If the hub is in router mode - that light does indeed indicate overheating!

VM Staff should book an engineer to replace it.

Alternatively you could call them and mention that you know the red light indicates this and are they willing to accept the risk of your house burning down if it does overheat and cause a fire?

Hub 3 - Modem Mode - TP-Link Archer C7

Thanks, yes its in router mode (I give up trying to get it to work just in modem mode). Hopefully a VM member will respond as trying to get through to CS is a very long painful experience.

Anyone from VM able to help with this please? Can't get through on the phone.

Good morning @TrueRomance.

Welcome to the forums and thank you for taking the time to post.

I am sorry to hear that you have had some issues with the hub overheating.

We will need to get an engineer out to come and replace this,  I will pop you over a PM so that I can get that resolved for you.

Kind regards,

Zak_M
