Hub 3 - devices 'forget' connection including via ethernet

Has anyone else come across an issue where connections with the Hub 3 are 'forgotten'.

This happens when a device was connected via Wi-i previously but then there has been a period of inactivity - the device might turn itself off or go into standby mode. When the device is reactivated later it still indicates that it is connected but there is no data transfer - a message similar to "weak signal" might be displayed. If the device is restarted then it reconnects fine. If the Wi-Fi Setting is turned off and on then it can reconnect but also might not. I could live with this issue (whilst a little annoying) except that . . .

. . . it is now happening to a PC connected via an ethernet cable. The only way to connect is to restart. This suggests to me that there could well be an underlying issue that needs resolving.

Any help on this would be great. Thanks!

Have you tried factory resetting the hub?

Re: Hub 3 - devices 'forget' connection including via ethernet

Try a reset using this exact method ...

DO NOT DO THIS if the password on the base of the Hub is not legible or missing.

Instructions for Hub 3

Disconnect all unneeded ethernet cables from the rear of the Hub.

With the Hub Powered on use a paperclip or similar (I use a mobile phone SIM Slot tool) and do a pinhole reset.

Depress the pinhole switch for a timed 60 seconds then release.

DO NOT reboot the hub but allow it 5 to 10 minutes for it to boot itself up.

Once a steady white and no other lights are illuminated check your system again.
