Hub 3 Diagnosis WiFi Has a Few Problems?

Had WIFI signal dropping out occasionally 350mbps mainly 50mbps then drops out. My son can only connect his MacBook for a few minutes before the signal drops out.  After logging on to the HUB3 and after carrying out a diagnostic the message is “WIFI Connections have a few problems”.  How do you find out what these problems are?

Re: Hub 3 Diagnosis WiFi Has a Few Problems?

It may be a good idea to carry out a factory reset on the Hub …

DO NOT DO THIS if the password on the base of the Hub is not legible or missing.

Instructions for Hub 3

Disconnect all unneeded ethernet cables from the rear of the Hub.

With the Hub Powered on use a paperclip or similar (I use a mobile phone SIM Slot tool) and do a pinhole reset.

Depress the pinhole switch for a timed 60 seconds then release.

DO NOT reboot the hub but allow it 5 to 10 minutes for it to boot itself up.

Once a steady white and no other lights are illuminated check your system again.

Re: Hub 3 Diagnosis WiFi Has a Few Problems?

Thanks for all the great advice.  Didn’t want reset the router.  I did some more research and made the following adjustments that solved the drop out problem.

- disabled the 2.4 wireless

- set the 5 GHz wireless to only use the 802.11n/ac connectivity

the above gave a better signal and faster connections.  My son has no problems connecting

the wireless issues that came up when using the hub 3 diagnostics are still present but they refer to the fact the Router is some distance from the TV.  Not really an issue.
