Hub 3.0 Constantly disconnecting devices from wifi

Hi community,

I've seen numerous posts about this but really not too clear on the fix. All our devices are consistently disconnected from the wifi. There seems no clear pattern to this but it has been particularly bad during the day time - a great frustration given both of us are working from home during the lock down. It's getting to the point where we are considering leaving after many years with Virgin. Posting the hub details I've seen requested elsewhere.

When plugged in via a cable the internet seems stable and consistent so it appears predominantly WiFi orientated. We have done a pin hole reset recently too to no avail.

Please help!!

Re: Hub 3.0 Constantly disconnecting devices from wifi

You need to look into getting a mesh system or a better standalone router to improve the WiFi then

Re: Hub 3.0 Constantly disconnecting devices from wifi

Thanks for the comment. But why should this have to be the case when I'm paying Virgin to provide a decent enough service or level of tech?

Re: Hub 3.0 Constantly disconnecting devices from wifi

Hi,

Most internet providers can only guarantee speeds TO the property, WiFi performance from the hub onwards can vary greatly from home to home. Any extra outlay to improve WiFi should be seen as an investment, as that equipment will be yours to keep and the only change from that point forward would essentially be any given provider.

Thanks,

Dean M.
