Hi

i have installed a pod in the kitchen and it works well

The kitchen opens into the dining area

wifi signal drops at the furthest point of the dining area

if I plug in the second  pod that virgin have kindly sent me at that furthest point in the dining area will the pod in the kitchen 6m away pass on the signal it receives from the base unit to this second pod plugged into a electric socket 6m away in the corner of the dining area?

Thanks

Problem sorter

TP Link have a decent explanation of Mesh systems here

In answering your question, basically yes - though it's generally better to put the unit mid way between the strong signal and the 'black spot' - so if you had a socket at 3M away that might be even better....     Experiment with it.

I know a bit about Wi-Fi, Telecoms, and TV as I used to do it for a living but I'm not perfect so don't beat me up... If you make things you make mistakes!

We already have a pod connected to the base unit and it works

the intention is to put the second pod in the open plan dining room that is open to the kitchen next to it

so it will be new second pod. Then pod that works  then base unit in like a line

ok?
