Hi all,
Newb. If I untick the WiFi Hotspot setting in my account will that have the effect of a) removing the Virgin Media WiFi connection from the list of available connections from my hub, AND b) prevent me from connecting to other WiFi hotspots ?
It’s an all in or nothing deal ? Quid pro quo ?

It will do the former a) only and not the latter b).
The VM Hotspots are on their last legs.
At the end of last month all VM Hotspots on the London underground were discontinued.
For new customers and after contract renewals, there is no access to the remaining hotspots, that affects VM Broadband and Mobile accounts.
