Hitron connected to Coax but need ethernet cable in different room

Hi,

So I have a Hitron Box which is connected via a coxial cable to the house. However, the wifi isn't great at transmitting and I need to connect via an ethernet cable to complete WFH calls. However, the only coxial cable is downstairs and not a place I can work, so I can't connect to the Hitron via the ethernet cable.

When I unplug the coxial, connecting via ethernet doesn't work.

Do I need a separate box which I can connect and have in my office and then connect via Ethernet? I'm unsure of a way around this?

Your Hitron needs to be connected to coax as that is how the virgin services are delivered.  Your options are either find a way to run an ethernet cable from where you work down to the router or get in touch with virgin to come out and move the location of your coax (there will be a charge for this).
