They've just renewed their contract with you. 150G for £29 p/m for 18 months. However, for the last 8-12 months, the Hub 3.0 has been getting so hot that, it needs resetting. WiFi coverage is poor, I've installed 2 TP-Link extenders to help. Mostly, I have to power it off and turn on for them. I'm aware it has no fan to dissipate heat. It's 7 years old.
I've checked it for obstructions to the ventilation. It's high up. All connections are good. The firmware is up to date.
The house is a bungalow, the 3.0 worked great for years. Is it a case of upgrade or replacement?

So sorry to hear these concerns about your parents Hub 3 - I am a little concerned about the hub overheating based on the feedback you have given. I'd like to get this sorted ASAP!
