Help with the problem of my 5GHz channel

Could you pls help me? I am a Virgin Media broadband customer. I tried to call them but did not get to speak with anyone today, so I am posting it here.

On Monday night, there was a power surge in my local area.

Since then it seems there was a problem with my 5GHz channel. Devices would connect and then drop off. Right now I have to use the 2.4GHz signal.

Pls let me know which information I should provide here so that Virgin Media can help me.

Thank you

Re: Help with the problem of my 5GHz channel

Have you split the WiFi bands?

Can you login to the hub and check 5GHz is enabled?

Was there a power outage?

Try a factory reset if necessary - then split bands again if you want
