Help hub 5

Please can someone help me.    For some reason a friend told me to buy a router and use it with my hub 5in modem mode.   Which we did for about a week.  We had nothing but problems and have no taken the router away. We have pressed the rest button underneath our hub 5 router but we still have no internet.  And we can’t log in to the 192.168 address either.  Please help I’ll be forever grateful

Call up VM say you have problem and need fix.

Yeah we did that and they said they would look into it and said that they’d be in touch within 24hours but silly us we have pretty much turn our home into Alexa everything.  And we have a teenager 😩

So you had modem mode working with your router? so test by router mode by wire to a PC and see if that connects

Try a pinhole reset, holding down the pin for a good 30 seconds.

Yes we tried that 10 seconds 30 seconds and even 60 seconds.     Seems strange this reset button doesn’t work

You see at this point VM if the hub was a modem we would point this to be either the modem or persons router or PC because the person does not have a PC to test by wire we would say its the persons router which they would have to get a new one but because of router mode do we say its the hub or the persons fault because you will do your checks and I have no doute Docsis will say its up and fine but I think the wifi is broken and O boy how this will round in circles.
