Having trouble with internet, intermittent on all devices, even wired

Hi,

My devices keep losing connection to my hub 3, tried all the steps on the website, reboot, reset. Nothing seems to work, even wired devices lose connection and it's every single day. I used to have my router upstairs, but then i upgraded my package and got it moved downstairs and it hasn't been right since. Any help would be much appreciated.

Are the devices loosing connection to the hub or to the internet?  That might sound silly but there's a big difference in helping to diagnose what's wrong.  It determines if the issue is within the house up to the hub (and on your LAN) or from the hub towards the VM network - the street cable.

  • When the devices have disconnected, can you access the hub pages at 192.168.0.1 ?
  • Do any of the devices 'talk' to each other on your own network?  Some kit does, via WiFi or wired.  Some tools can be used for checking this but don't worry if too challenging just now.
  • Going to 192.168.0.1 - click on the hub status link (no need to login) - what do the columns of data show regarding power levels and the like?  Post that data here without any MAC address or personal information.
  • Look at setting up a BQM  - this should help show if your hub is going offline

I know a bit about Wi-Fi, Telecoms, and TV as I used to do it for a living but I'm not perfect so don't beat me up... If you make things you make mistakes!

Hi, They lose connection to the hub, tried resetting and rebooting, but devices still lose connection at some point, which is annoying has I have a ring doorbell  which in turn communicates to my alexa's in the house and i don't even know that anyone is at the door sometimes.

Hi Jamie_78,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.

I'm very sorry to hear about the issue you have been having with your broadband.

I have taken a look on our side and I cannot see anything reported that could be affecting this.

I am happy to take a further look into this though.

I will private message you now.
