Hardwire booster

I have the virgin wired & wifi boosters. My question is, can I run a Ethernet cable from router in house out to wired booster in outbuilding & connect to it by Wi-fi without using the Wi-fi booster.  If not, any suggestions would be helpful. 👍

Re: Hardwire booster

Just run an exterior grade ethernet cable (Cat5e or better) from the Hub to the outbuilding and put an unmanaged ethernet 1GB switch with 4-8 ports on the end of it and then connect a wireless access point onto that.

Or get a combined WAP with extra ethernet ports - here is an example.
