Full WiFi no internet do we need a new hub 3? Virgin please respond

Hi... we have recently had a new installation, periodically although we have full WiFi coverage symbols the internet will drop completely and it will say connected, no internet. Do I need a new hub please?

Are wired connections ok?

Try going through various Wi-Fi checks - most documented on these forums if you do a search

  • Use a Wi-Fi analyser app - check for neighboring hubs and channels being occupied
  • Try changing channels on 2.4 and 5GHz
  • separate the bands with different SSID
  • check all drivers are up to date on devices
  • reboot
  • factory reset

I’ve done pin reset, switched on and off... diagnostics on hub say I have WiFi issues ... how do I get someone @Virgin to deal with this?

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired 2 WiFi,) SH2 in modem mode with Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's. On VIVID200, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

You can stop wasting time and get a better wireless router with 1Gb ports and use the hub in modem mode.
