Faulty router

Hi, I’ve had someone tech minded check my router who have advised that the 2.4ghz antenna is not working which is causing connection problems. How do I exchange my router please.

thanks Ian

Re: Faulty router

How have they come to that conclusion?

Re: Faulty router

The 2 channels were split and the 5ghz was running wirelessly at 200mbps avg, and the 2.4 wouldn’t go over 5ghz.

Re: Faulty router

Why would 5ghz work fine then and 2.4ghz hardly work? Something is wrong with the router? I don’t even think the one I received was new

It's rented kit so you shouldn't expect it to be new.

Re: Faulty router

Surely the money I’m paying you expect new kit not used.

Not when it's rented.

When someone leaves VM do you really think the HUB they were using is just thrown away?

Re: Faulty router

Hardware build with low grade components mainly for the wifi go wrong or just bad firmware.

If you want something new then get your own wifi router with 1Gb ports and use the hub in modem mode.
