Ethernet cable length in modem mode

Hi

I run a SH3 in modem mode and want to move my router to somewhere else.

Is there a limit on how long the ethernet cable between the SH3 and the router should be?
(it's probably going to be around 10 to 15m)

Thanks.

Re: Ethernet cable length in modem mode

The limit is 100 meters or 328 feet for a segment of network cable.

Order a decent cable say CAT6A and you will be fine.

Re: Ethernet cable length in modem mode

I believe 100m is often quoted... 10-15m is certainly no problem. Look for Cat6a cable as it has better shielding against crosstalk and interference no point in Cat7/8

Re: Ethernet cable length in modem mode

If your going to move the router away from the hub I would suggest two Ethernet runs
