Engineers at night?

Hello. My internet has dropped out and it’s pretty much a life line with my disability. I heard an automated message when calling that said there is a fault and engineers are working to fix it but I was wondering if engineers work throughout the nights? It’s 19:30 currently so I presume they might not be working still. Anyone know?

Re: Engineers at night?

I'm sure VM have cover for certain grades of faults 24x7, and others may have a cutoff.

Everything depends on the nature & severity of the fault.

Re: Engineers at night?

I believe the field techs which we are accustomed to seeing do 10-hour shifts from 8am-7pm (8am-6pm on Saturdays) with Sundays off (unless doing overtime). Furthermore as VM has a 24/7 operation there will be people on duty doing shifts.

Re: Engineers at night?

Hey @romeoalfie50, thanks for reaching out to us on the forums. 👋🏼

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with the broadband. 😞
I've had a look on my end and I can't see any issues affecting the service, it seems as if whichever fault was there has been fixed and resolved by our network team.
May I ask if this is the same on your end?

Let us know.

Kind regards,
Ilyas.
