Tuning in

Hiya, I just moved into a new build and found a OFNL hub in my home. I can see VM is one of the ISP showing in OFNL webpage. But I couldn't search my address in VM, I called to sales team and they said cannot supply services to my address as well. Just want to clarify if I have OFNL fiber is that mean I can have VM? Cheers.

I don't think so https://portal.ofnl.co.uk/residents/available-isps

Thanks for reply. When I search my postal code VM shows up: https://portal.ofnl.co.uk/residents/available-isps?dfa=1&ra=MWRkY2YxNDc4YzE4N2JjYjMxNzU4YWJjODY2ZDU2...

But when I search in VM it didn't.

I see your point. Interesting one. Let's see what the VM forum team say.

The OFNL question has been asked quite a few times on here before. VM responses on here seem to be a bit clueless about it.

I get the impression, from past topics, that while VM can sometimes be accessed through OFNL it is not universally available.

This topic and this post seems to be one of the better explanations from someone who did eventually get connected

Hey @gorgorl,

Welcome to the Community Forums and thanks for the post.

You are able to see if your property has our services fitted here If  not you are able to fill out a form there to go about registering your interest.

Joe

Hi Joe,

Thanks for reply. I've filled the form and my neighbour as well. Is there any way to know when VM will implement the service in our area? Many thanks.

Kind regards

Gordon

Hi Gordon,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

Based on what you've already said, it certainly sounds like we are not currently in the area but am happy to find out if there are any current plans in the making for you. To do that I will need your full address. I have sent you a direct message to allow us to do this with you in a private space. If you are using a PC/Laptop then you can just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox. If you are on a mobile/tablet device then instead click on the little circle icon in the top right then select 'Messages'. 😊

Thanks,

Hi gorgorl,

Thanks for coming back to me so quickly via private message.

I have forwarded the address over to our lightning teams now to see if there are any plans.

Once I get a reply from the team I will let you know, good or bad. Just to set expectations it may take a few days depending on how busy they are 🙂

Speak soon,

Hi gorgorl,

Thanks for your patience whilst I waited for the lightning teams to come back to me on this one.

They have confirmed that as of yet, there are no plans in place to install your area I'm afraid.

I know this isn't the news you'd be hoping for however make sure you get as many of your neighbours to register your address with us here. Once there is a high interest in the area registered, the team can get some plans on the go to come to your area 🙂

Take care and apologies once again.
