Different speeds between bands

Hi again,  I have just got a new hub 3 which replace a hub 4 which didn't perform...I have set it the same as a previous hub 3 by separating the 2.4 and 5 ghz to ensure my 5g devices stay on 5g and not overload my 2.4..unlike my old hub 3 each band is giving me entirely different speeds the 5g gives me 100mbps and the 2.4 only 50mbps my last hub 3 they were both on.100 mbps the engineer did try but couldn't rectify it..any ideas please

Re: Different speeds between bands

It's unusual to get 100mb on 2.4ghz, normally it makes out around 70.

You could try changing the 2.4ghz WiFi channel width to 20/40 to see if it gets better speed but you will be sacrafice stability

Re: Different speeds between bands

Thanks If that is what its meant to be..i wondered if there was a problem comparing on what I used to get on the old Hub..that kept crashing on 2.4 because all my devises probably about 20 defaulted the 2.4 until I separated the 2 bands with a diff ssid even so I was still getting equal speeds of 100mbps .. But as I only use the 2.4 for smart plugs etc it will have to do..
