DNS server not responding

I just got a new laptop (hp probook) and can't seem to connect to my router as the DNS server isn't responding.

All my other devices are still connected and working fine, it just seems to be an issue connecting this devise.

Any advise would be welcome.

Thanks

Re: DNS server not responding

Suspect the laptop has not established a proper connection to the Hub - especially if WiFi and / or a Hub 5 are involved.

Check in the Hub's menus that MAC Address filtering is Disabled.

Check if the problem affects both WiFi & a direct network cabled connection.

Check the IPV4 properties.

Re: DNS server not responding

Yes if it looks like that fine !

With laptop connected to the Hub what do the Network Connection Details show ?

Can we see a LAN IP / a Mask / Gateway IP / DNS entries ?

Re: DNS server not responding

Thanks for the suggestions.

I have changed MAC filtering to only apply from 2-3am (there was no option to disable completely) but still having no joy with either WiFi or connected.

Re: DNS server not responding

Have you checked the menus of the Hub to make quite sure

1) Wireless >>> Security  >> Wireless MAC Filtering is Disabled

2) Security >>> MAC filtering  >> the MAC filter list is empty   &  set to Always on

Do this with the menus of the Hub & not with the VM Connect app
