Correcteds (Active Profile) -> what does this actually mean

I have noticed that in my superhub 4 page the above field is increasing really quickly.

System was rebooted about 30 minutes ago and we have nearly 10 million of these so far:

I have the system in modem mode due to dropouts in router mode, but Virgin have advised on last comms that they don't see or are aware of any issues:

Re: Correcteds (Active Profile) -> what does this actually mean

As far as I know, correcteds are corrupted (due to primarily noise) symbols in a DOCSIS connection that have been corrected by a Reed Solomon algorithm.

It is the uncorrectables that can be a problem.

Are you having any connection issues?

Re: Correcteds (Active Profile) -> what does this actually mean

The OFDM channel uses LDPC to correct errors. It is much more powerful. The OFDM channel is expected (by design) to have many corrected codewords.

Hi @CallumMack

Thanks for your post 🙂

I'm sorry to hear this, are you having any connection issues due to the fast increase?

How have things been since posting?

Thanks,

Sofia
