Connection to work VPN

My wife and I are both working from home and connecting to our (different) work VPNs. I am using a CAT 5 cable and she is wireless. It took my IT people a while to get mine up and running. Whilst she had access to her work networks last week she can no longer access them this week. The VPN seemingly connects. She is now tethered to work on her phone on a VM account. This is not acceptable. This coincided with the wifi falling over last sunday. (See other post). We have been told by our IT people that there is a know VM problem with the SH3 router and it not liking VPNs. Any ideas?
