Connection slow or dropping

I use Virgin media broadband with wifi for working from home. the hub shows no errors and VOD TV works fine but my work computer connection keeps dropping every day or slowing to snail's pace. Please help. I am a new user and never had these problems with Openreach. Am I condemned to this situation for the next 18 months?

Use a wired connection instead
