Connection constantly receiving high ping/latency and is always happening at the same time of day

I've been getting a high ping connection everyday at random time that last for an hour or two. This especially happens between 4-7pm weekdays.

I use network monitoring apps to view usages and absolutely nothing is affecting this which leads me to believe this is a fault with Virgin Media.

Whenever my ping shoots up while playing games or streaming videos, I check network usage via device and app and there'll be nothing thats using the bandwidth.

Recently I've had to just accept it, wait for it to pass, for an hour or so and then go back to whatever I was doing. This is awful and something I'm totally not used to, having recently moved homes where my previous household had completely fine internet. Bad area maybe? I would check my Virgin Media area code, but I can't seem to navigate my account to find this.

Anny suggestions what to do?

On what devices and over a wired or wireless connection?

You can setup a BQM graph and also post your hub network, upstream and downstream logs here.

What is your contracted speed ?

Which Hub do you have ?

What speed do you get at >> speedtest.net << with a direct connection using a Cat 5E/6 or better cable between the Hub in Router Mode and a 1Gbs capable Pc/Mac/Chromebook and no other devices connected ?

Both devices experiencing this high ping when viewing the latency I get in games, I've just setup this BQM graph

Coincidentally this has  been the longest my ping has been this bad in weeks/ever, I'm not fully understanding this graph above but judging from the explanation from the thinkbroadband.com FAQ page, it would seem my internet has been running as if its been on peak for 3hour straight? Can't be good.

Why ask me to post all this information when you're just going to ignore it
