Connection Constantly Dropping Out.

Moved in to my new flat a few weeks ago and while gaming I constantly get packet loss.
So far I've done the following and not been able to rectify the issue:
- Hard power cycled my personal router and Virgin Hub
- Disconnected my router and tried it with just the Virgin Hub
- Isolated all connections to the router and tried just using my Xbox (still had packet loss)

This makes me believe it is got to be something on the Virgin Media connection side.
After checking the stats I believe the downstream power level is too high and the upstream is on the lower end of the spectrum.

Re: Connection Constantly Dropping Out.

Your downstream levels are too high and your upstream levels are out of sync.

Unless there’s an area issue you’ll need an engineer

Re: Connection Constantly Dropping Out.

Actually had a very helpful technician named Nav. Sorted all the readings out and they look okay to me. Been monitoring using ThinkBroadband and definitely can see the improvement.

Re: Connection Constantly Dropping Out.

Hmm yes and no. There's still a large amount of errors on there that could be ones left from before.

When was the hub last rebooted?

Re: Connection Constantly Dropping Out.

Just re-booted now as it wasn't re-booted after or during his visit. I'll keep an eye on the number of errors. What would you say is a concerning number within 24h for example?
