I currently have my VHub3 in Modem mode as I'm using my own Router (ER-X). However I'm not getting my full download speed of 500mpbs, since I upgraded from 350mpbs last week, so virgin are going to send me out a new VHub, thought my current hub would just take the upgrade, but hey ho....
Is it a simple case of putting the New VHub into Modem mode and connecting it to my ER-X without having to make any configurations on either the ER-X or new VHub.
That should be the case if it is all working now. There's no settings to change on the Hub 3 when in modem mode.
As for your speed issue, I'll stick my neck out and say that replacing the Hub won't improve things. Most hub faults (other than wireless issues) are very binary, as in works or doesn't work at all. If I'm correct, then it implies a cable connection or VM network fault.
