Connect app wont scan my Hub 3

Hi Guys and Girls 

I have just downloaded the connect app to test my internet in rooms around my house. I also wanted to use this app to help improve positioning of my boosters. 

I was successful in setting up my Hub 3 to my connect app, however the app simply cannot scan my Hub. I'm not sure why it will not scan my hub. It keeps telling me 'troubleshoot, please make sure your connected to your hub and not a wifi booster". I turned of the wifi boosters and it still does not work. I have also tried turning mobile data of on my phone and resetting my mobile device which is using the connect app. I have also reset my Hub 3 numerous times, manually and through the app. No luck at all. 

I really don't understand why its not working. Can someone please help?

Since joining Virgin media for the m500 package I have had 3 engineers out to help improve my 20mb connection to a 500mb connection. None of the engineers were able to do this for me until I played around with the settings on my router. After ticking the hz box (cant remember now what it was) it finally opened up my wifi to perform correctly. Shockingly 3 engineers were unable to do this and kept telling me 'the specialist team will be round to check". Coronavirus happening and virgin sent 3 different engineers out to me. Great stuff... 

Either way I have fixed that issue and now im back with a problem. Why cant the connect app scan my Hub? Any help will be highly appreciated.

You really don’t need an app to tell you where WiFi is poor and where to position boosters.

It’s also worth noting the speeds you pay for are wired speeds not WiFi.

If Virgin media offer a tool like Virgin connect then it should work.

How is a correct answer unhelpful?

Maybe your phone or OS isn’t compatible?

My samunsug s10 5g is defiantely compaitible. Your anwser is unhelpfull due to the fact i asked why the app is not working. 

I didnt ask for alternatives.

Yeah after looking at the reviews on the play store everyones rating it 1/5 stars. 

Virgin media is such a poor service.

Oh well doesnt matter.
