Probably less a background change, more rather the Hub having a bit of a 'senior moment'. Firstly reboot it (ie power off and then back on), and if that doesn't fix it try a full factory reset - which is to find the reset hole on the back of the hub, stick a bent paperclip in it and hold it in for a good 60 seconds (you will feel a sort of click as the tiny button is depressed). Allow the hub to reboot itself and see if your default VMxxxx SSID is back.
