Can neighbour's wifi affect my wifi?

Hi I have a Hub 3.0 which gives me home wifi. The Hub is in the centre of the house where it has been for many years.
Recently i have started to loose wifi contact with my Hub dropping off wifi. Is it possible that my next door neighbour who runs a business from home that his "business" wifi signal could be affecting my wifi? When I check for available wifi networks his always appears first with max strength, and yet mine shows less than max strength?
If his wifi network is responsible for my drop-offs can anyone suggest a good solution to prevent this from happening?

Many thanks in advance

Laurance

Re: Can neighbour's wifi affect my wifi?

them being a "business" has nothing to do with it, but any neighbouring wifi network can affect everyone elses.

try changing the wifi channel yours uses to one that is less conjested.

Re: Can neighbour's wifi affect my wifi?

Many thanks SPGRAY, sorry to be a "no-nothing", but how do I go about changing wifi channels, and if I do so will it have any adverse effect on all my devices at home?

Many thanks again,

Laurance
