Brown box in direct sunlight

Hi there. I know we haven't had much sun this Summer, but when the sun does shine in the afternoon, it heats up our brown box and our connections drop in and out. After about an hour, we lose all internet. Other than moving the brown box, does anyone have any solutions for this? Thanks, Ian

Paint it white.

If the temperature is moving the power levels out of spec, it may be possible to get the levels "moved" so that they will stay in range, despite the fluctuations.  Unfortunately it's a two way street as the cold also affects the power levels, but inversely.

Hi @Ian777

Thanks for posting on our community forum and sorry to hear about the broadband issue(s)

How has your connection been recently? Are you still noticing dropouts over the past week or so?

Thanks for the replies.

Virgin have agreed to move the box out of sunlight.

Thanks for coming back to us Ian777 and I'm glad that we have agreed to remove the box for you.

If you get the chance, please can you let us know how the visit goes.

Kind Regards,
