Broken WiFi extender

My wifi extender has stopped working, it makes a cracking sound when plugged in and doesn’t sound safe to leave switched on. I tried calling 150 but there is no option to report a hardware failure of this type. Anyone know how I can request a replacement ?

Re: Broken WiFi extender

You will have to call the faults line and speak with an agent about this.

A VM person will respond here but make take several days

Re: Broken WiFi extender

Hi @rabkerr,

Welcome back to our Community Forums. Thank you for posting!

Would you be able to let us know what type of WiFi extender you have? Is it the Booster, or the WiFi Pod

Is the equipment making the same electrical noise when plugged into a different socket?

Please keep us updated so we can help you further.

Thanks,

Re: Broken WiFi extender

If it's crackling in all sockets - definitely don't use it! It could be a fire risk!

Re: Broken WiFi extender

Hi @rabkerr,

Thank you for getting back to us about this issue and keeping us updated.

Can you tell me if you've taken a look at the Booster troubleshooting page I linked before? Would you be able to take a look into it and see if this can help reset the Booster and help resolve the issue at all?

Please keep us updated.

Thanks,
