Broadband / Telephone issue

Hi

I've been having issues with Broadband speeds for a while.

Today I went to use the phone attached to the router for the first time and there is a lot of feedback interference. However if I touch the connection at the back of the router that goes to the wall then the feedback stops - it is almost as if I am earthing the box and this stops the feedback interference. I have tried changing the lead and it makes no difference. Anyone got any ideas? I've currently been on hold trying to talk to Virgin for 1 hour 15 mins so not holding out much hope of getting through.

Really sorry for the issues you've been having and the delay in us getting in touch, we have been busier than usual. 

 

I've taken a look at the back end of things from here and it shows as though this has been resolved for you since posting.
