Broadband Cancellation

Does anyone have any idea how to actually cancel their broadband service.

I've been to into my account and can't cancel their as 'the service isn't available'.

I can't even change the package I'm on, as I get the same message.

The online automated service also doesn't work no matter how long I wait you can't message anyone other the terri the useless robot.

Calling Virgin Media is useless as no one on customer services picks up at all, even if you call three days in a row and hold for over an hour and when you call the sales team they just blindly forward you to customer services like sheep.

Its genuinely like they want to keep customer away from doing anything - HORRENDOUS!

Where to go from here, please can any one help.

Re: Broadband Cancellation

Per the terms of your contract - phone or writing.

Or you can use the sms service.

Re: Broadband Cancellation

Remember you have to give 30-days notice of cancelling. Also if you are still "in contract" you will have to pay an early disconnection fee dependent on how long is left on that contract.

Just for info - are you cancelling due to some technical issue? If so, users one here might be able to help sort it

Re: Broadband Cancellation

HI I used the text service twice one on Thursday and again on Friday no one at all called both times.

I also used the chat service on the virgin media website after leaving the dialogue box open from 9am - 4pm no one answered back at all.

Can you please advise what to do?

It's all in the contract / terms and conditions you signed when joining VM

https://www.virginmedia.com/shop/the-legal-stuff/terms-and-conditions-for-fibre-optic-services#end

You can provide notice and end this agreement under this provision by:

1. dialling 0345 454 1111 from any phone (for information on how much this call will cost from a Virgin Media home phone visit virginmedia.com/callcosts.  Call costs from other networks and mobiles vary); or

2. writing to Virgin Media Sales Operation Support, Diamond Plaza, Daleside Road, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG2 3GG;
