Booster

My faulty rooter was replaced, all worked fine for a week but now the booster is showing the red connection arrows as a solid red light. The rooms near the booster are only reviving a slow connection. As usual turned off an on a dozen times and done the hard reset but as soon as the large booster (not in an extension lead or an extension power supply) connects it turns a new continuous red.

Looked for other threads and no real answer to this question. Thanks

Re: Booster

Those old VM boosters are no longer used by VM.  You should be using the new Pods https://www.virginmedia.com/help/wifi-max

Re: Booster

Thanks, how do I get hold of the pods. The engineer who came and set up didn’t mention that these were no longer supported and set the booster up

Re: Booster

Follow the instructions on the linked website above.

They arent supported anymore bur should still work - unless they are "broken", If so they will not be repaired/replaced.

You either get a Pod (may charge you £8/month) or buy your own wifi solution - £30-40 will sort it.

Re: Booster

Hi Jon19

Welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for your post. I'm sorry to hear you've been having issues with your WiFi Boosters after having your Hub replaced. As jbrennand has correctly pointed out, the WiFi Boosters should still work - I actually still use them myself in my cellar and they work fine with my Hub 5, however if they need replacing, we would need to give you the new WiFi Pods.

I'll pop you over a private message now so I can grab your details and help you out with some new Pods.

Look out for my message over at the purple envelope.

Thanks 🙂

Beth
