Seems our booster didn't like the heat wave and it's getting very hot. Some of the lights have stopped working on it and it is getting very hot to touch. I've unplugged it for now due to the heat it's given off but that means one of our TVs is unusable.
Hi there @SamG01, welcome back to our forum and thanks for your post.
I'm sorry to see that you have the booster that is overheating, I'm glad they are unplugged now just to be safe.
I can see that since posting this you have been in conversation with the team, have they been able to arranged for these to be replaced for you already? If not, please let me know and I will arrange this for you.
I do hope, given the clear, documented, and ongoing pattern of smoke and fire incidents with the boosters, that VM do not seriously consider that like for like replacement is the safe, lawful, and responsible way forward here.
Nope, I'm now being told that they don't do the old boosters and I must pay an extra £5 a month for the new Pods. It has been over a week now and we haven't been able to use streaming services on two TVs.
It seems my phone call to Virgin Media was a complete waste of time and I was lied too.
