Due to install the above once cat 6 linger cable arrives . I've noticed it has 2ghz & 5 GHz on the addresses and wondered is it best to set the SSID + password to same or have different for each GHz. Looked in net and get different opinions . As you might of noticed Iam a IT novice as fixing cars my expertise !!

  • Thanks for any advise

They can both be the same passwords if you want! - Not a problem!

A lot of people split out the bands into the 2,4 and 5GHz anyway as you know what you are connecting to!

I personally think that splitting is the best way as you can segregate devices so for example slow devices or smart devices that don't need a tone of bandwidth can go on slower 2.4 ghz whereas phones and high speed devices on the 5ghz band but that's purely a suggestion.
I have triband so i have three SSID's for this reason.
