Alternatives to Hub

Hi there, which modems are compatible with Virgin Broadband so I can remove the Hub.

I know I can put it into "modem mode" but I want to remove it entirely.

Re: Alternatives to Hub

NONE.

you have to use the hub you can't replace it.
you have to use it in modem mode if you want your own router

Re: Alternatives to Hub

I thought that was an Ofcom requirement? That customers must be able to use their own kit?

I have a hub 3.0 and (in my experience anyway) it's rubbish.

Re: Alternatives to Hub

Nope, you have to use VM kit.  They will not provision anything else on their infrastructure.  The only other way is Modem mode which a lot of users use, myself included.
