Accessing NSD on Hub externally

Hi,

 

I have an Network Storage Device attached to my Hub3 which I am unable to access externally.

Before I upgraded to the Hub3 from my previous VerginMedia hub I was able to access the NSD via an app on my phone or online from my PC.

I suspect the issue is down to port forwarding settings on the Hub3. I've tried various settings I've found on this forum and elsewhere but they seem orientated to gaming and don't work.

Any help would be appreciated.

This post from @ravenstar68 contains all of hte information you need to know about setting up and troubleshooting port-forwards on the hub.

before you do that though, how is it you access the NAS storage when away from home - i mean, did you have to configure the app in any way when you first used it (maybe putting the IP address in, or a dns name or something?)

you may also want to check whether or not uPnP is enabled on the hub3 - if not, switch it on and try again..
