5G keeps dropping out.

The 5G keeps dropping connection in my router. It’s been happening a couple of months now And I’d reboot router it would be ok. It’s now happening more and more and I’m getting sick of it. 

I have to keep swapping from 5G to 2G on many devices which is a pain in the ......

 

 

can someone check my line and my router.

Call it in for a faster response from VM - can be 5-10 days on here.

In the meantime, what Hub model do you have?

If a Hub3 - have you tried renaming the SSID's of the 2 bands to separate them out and switched off channel optimisation

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired 2 WiFi,) SH2 in modem mode with Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's. On VIVID200, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

This will not be due to your line.

Follow the advice above, but bear in mind that the 5GHz frequency has less range than 2GHz and is more susceptible to blocking by walls and other obstructions.
