£5 setup fee for wifi+ adaptor??

Hi all,

I am curious why I have to pay a £5 setup fee for plugging in a wifi + booster.  I did this myself so cannot see how Virgin can justify the cost.  I already pay £5 per month for the pleasure of having it.

Thanks in advance

Send it back and put those VM rental monies towards your own better quality wireless equipment that is yours to use and keep forever.

Re: £5 setup fee for wifi+ adaptor??

Yep, I have tried a few and most seem to create a secondary SSID so I need to disconnect and reconnect when moving rooms etc.  I think I would also struggle for Virgin to take it back now.  Just annoyed they charged £5 setup.  A bit cheeky that is all.  Seems to have done the trick though so not all bad.

Re: £5 setup fee for wifi+ adaptor??

Was it a set up charge - or a "delivery" charge? They usually charge £5 to deliver a "Hub Upgrade" for example - but not when replacing fautly ones
