2.4Ghz not working while 5Ghz works perfect

 Hi i have seen my wifi switches stopped working during the night they only run on 2.4ghz.

My phones and lap top also not connected.

Reset and did factory reset using pin hole at back. Did not help 

Changed name and password on settings and also changed settings to both 2.4 and 5.

logged in using new details phones now work but I need to be able to disable 5ghz so as to link switches. 

As soon as switch off 5 ghz the phones disconnect.

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting.

 

Sorry to read you are having an issue with the broadband connection.

 

If you disconnect the switches altogether do your devices connect fine to the Hub's wireless?

 

You mentioned that you changed the name/password of the networks, were they completely different so your devices knew they were 2.4 and 5? For example Virgin2g and Virgin5g.

 

If the phones are disconnecting when 5 GHz is turned off then they are connecting to that network rather than the 2.4 GHz.
