OK makes sense however, I have simply been told it's not an option which from a customer perspective is a little different from we currently don't have stock we will be happy to supply you with a hub 5 as soon they become available.
The web page below seems clear .. still unclear to me :0)
Get your order in below (costs you nothing extra) and choose when you’d like the Hub 5 delivered. When it arrives, just send back the old one in the same pre-paid box.

Hi @Millenios
Welcome to the community.
Sorry to hear about the confusion with the wording on the website. I will feed this back to the team to see if there is any changes that can be improved at our side. We appreciate any and all feedback. My apologies for any confusion caused.

Hi Carly,
Thanks for the reply, re the website "confusion with the wording on the website" the website is black & white .. essentially order your hub 5 here. Are you suggesting the website is incorrect & the Hub 5 is not available unless you meet whatever the virgin media criteria is?
It always seems a little unfair that existing customers seem be last to benefit from upgrades.
I would just like to understand when I & I expect others should able to request or be upgraded.
Thanks again.

Hey Millenios, I understand and thank you for letting us know this.
The Hub5 has only just come out of the trail stages.
Any new customer taking Gig1 will receive a Hub 5, as will any existing customer upgrading to Gig1 without a Hub 4. Customers who choose to upgrade their speeds and already have a Hub 4 will continue with their current Hub as it’s already capable of delivering Gig1 speeds. Thanks

Its only capable of sharing 1gb from the hub across devices. It can't do as expected in modem mode, where you connect your own router to a 2.5gbps capable WAN port and then have devices hang off that whether 2.5 or via Wifi AX gig+ speeds (not everyone is in noisy Wifi environment).
I do wish VM would stop peddling that the HUB4 is up for it on 1gbps service. It isn't due to overheads of TCP/IP on gig ports on the HUB4 and slower speed AC wifi!
It is also shameful that the press release for the HUB5 stated existing customers would get it first at no extra cost. Link to that been posted on forums before.
The company should have seen that 1gig customers were swapped out first and the hub4 from that re-used for lower tier services like 500 and 350. People on much lower speed tiers been getting the HUB5 and now new customers on 1gbps.
I'm furious with VM over this and denial of HUB5 and can't wait till NETOMNIA finish their design and infrastructure in my area. Up to this point, bar a blip with VM when the central apparatus room needed upgrading from River Delta/Motorola CMTS to Cisco (now upgraded again to Arris) to fix the single thread download issue, been happy with VM BB.
