My virgin media went live a few days ago bit when trying to register it won't let me put in a password. I've tried a different browser but still no luck

Can I please ask if you have tried clearing the cache and cookies on the browser you are using.
Have you tried a different browser?
Are you getting any error codes?

Yeah I tried both links and it still didn't work. I called up Virgin bit she suggested no special characters and that didn't work either

Can you please perhaps take a screenshot of the error message you're receiving, or the page where you get stuck so we can advise more specifically perhaps?
