I am having similar problem!!! When I first had my broadband installed I tried setting up media account and kept getting the message "cant use that password" The lady on the phone from Virgin tried all ways possible and she could not even get on to the app for me .In the end she suggested trying in a few days time which I am now trying but the app on my phone says incorrect password or e mail and when I try to log on with my computer to set up account it comes up with "cant use that password".Despite trying variations of passwords(all coming up as "strong") it still comes up with cant use that password ,so as yet not managed to get into Virgin Media. Its useless!!! If this continues I also will be cancelling my contract!!

It's disappointing to hear of the problems experienced setting up your online account, we appreciate you taking the time to raise this via the forums and welcome to the community.


There were issues previously where the error was given but the password had been updated, have you tried to log in using the password you were trying to set? The password also needs to be a minimum of 8 characters and contain upper, lower and special characters for added security.
