I cancelled my original Virgin media broadband account in February and subsequently took out a new account in April but I have been unable to get rid of the old account details from the My Virgin Media app. This is preventing me from registering my new account. I have tried to access the New account option on the app but the link appears to be broken and I am pushed back to the original login page which still has my old details. Any tips?

Sorry to hear you are having some difficulties getting your new account set up with My Virgin Media.
Did you use the same email address to register your new account as your old one?
We would need to get the association with your former account removed to get your account details swapped over.
