Cannot Access Account After Setting Up App Password

Yesterday, I was unable to access my e-mail using Outlook on my phone. 

I looked into this and the advice on the website appeared to show that I needed to create an App Password and that to do this I also needed to use a non virgin media e-mail address.

Since doing this, I have been unable to log into my account at all on any browser. When I go through the forgotten password option and put in the new e-mail address, the password reset e-mail either does not come through or comes through but when I follow the password reset link it shows as expired.

This is very frustrating after what seems a totally unnecessary change and I would appreciate help in how I can get in to access my account again.
