I currently use the sim I get, effectively for free, as part of my ultimate oomph package with my long established mobile number. The overall Tv, Internet, sim contract has several more months of its current contract to run.

I need a new phone. If I take out a new mobile contract (most likely with o2), will I be able to transfer my number to the new phone?

Also, If i get an o2 contract but by through a third party will I still get the Volt benefits?

Welcome back to the community and thanks for taking the time to post.
If you take out a new contract with another provider, you can transfer your number over via a PAC code, more information about this can be found here.

Also, you would need to sign up directly with O2 to be able to receive the Volt benefits.
