important update

I have a text from Virgin telling me they are sending me a new SIM so they can roll out network improvements. I haven't asked for one.

Then a message saying Virgin have created a mailbox for me when I already have one.

Then a message saying Thanks! We've ordered your shiny new SIM, it'll be on its way shortly.

Is this all for real or just another scam.

Thanks for post about this new Sim.

It is real and not a scam. 

We are currently undergoing an update to our network and to do this we need to upgrade existing sim cards

Are all virgin Media mobiles to receive a new sim?

I have two mobiles -mine and the wife's - but only received text/email for one of them.

Hi BAZ9. It depends when you received your last SIM - the network migration has been ongoing for a while already so newer SIMs were already provisioned correctly and won't need replacing. 

 

If you received the SIM's in question at the same time then maybe we need to take a look, but otherwise I wouldn't worry.
